About
Dr. Wan Fazlida Hanim Abdullah is a Full Professor candidate at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam. Her career spans three decades at the intersection of microelectronics engineering, sensor systems research, and high-impact industry-academia collaboration.
Currently serving as Interim Director of the Institute of Microelectronics and Semiconductors and Chairperson of JK Pemandu Semikonduktor UiTM — she leads the implementation of Malaysia's national semiconductor budget (RM20 million) allocated to UiTM for 2025–2026.
Her research group, the Integrated Sensors Research Group, focuses on electrochemical sensing systems, EGFET/ISFET sensor development, and interfacing circuits for point-of-use agricultural and environmental monitoring.
In 2020, she was selected as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (LIF6) through the Newton Ungku Omar Fund — one of the most prestigious international recognitions in engineering innovation.
